New Year prayer

As we face uncertain times, we entrust our nation to Your loving care. We ask You to bless us with the wisdom to understand the reason why we are troubled with many social evils in this country. God, what good will You bring out of it?

We pray for our leaders to know the right thing to do and for them to speak the truth. Give them the hunger and thirst for your righteousness.

We pray, too, that all things that we decide or do in this country should be inspired by Your love and not by our selfish pride, arrogance and hatred.

God have mercy on us Filipinos.
