Peco clarification on P631-M refunds

05:02 AM October 17, 2018

We write in reference to the article “ERC asks Iloilo power firm: Where’s P631M in refunds?” (Inquirer.net, 10/5/18).

The article claimed that: “The Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) has castigated the Panay Electric Co. (Peco), the sole electricity supplier in lloilo City, for failing to refund P631 million in overbilling to its customers.”

We wish to clarify that the said information did not come from the ERC and that Peco was not castigated on the aforecited matter.
