Poor Makati folk

05:01 AM October 17, 2018

The “Binay vs Binay” mayoralty fight in Makati City reported in this paper [Philippine Daily Inquirer] said it all.

Incumbent Mayor Abby Binay is said to be up against her own brother, former mayor Junjun Binay, in the 2019 contest to keep the family’s eternal control of City Hall.

Are Makati folk really so bankrupt in moral moorings that, without a Binay taking the helm, they would be lost at sea?

Haven’t they had enough of that dynasty whose decadeslong lust for power and wealth is way beyond notorious?

Is there really no one else more decent?
