Garbage on Tripa de Gallina Bridge

/ 01:17 AM March 18, 2017

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources and the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) should look into the everyday dumping of trash on top of Tripa de Gallina Bridge along Gil Puyat Avenue in the boundary between Pasay and Makati.

Day in, day out, for several months now, tons of garbage indiscriminately dumped on top of this bridge can be seen, and it is a nauseating sight. People responsible for this illegal practice should be apprehended and penalized.

The cities of Makati and Pasay should warn their constituents not to dump garbage on top of this bridge. A signage should be installed to remind violators of the gravity of their offence.

Moreover, the trash collectors should collect the garbage before the morning rush hour so as not to impede the flow of traffic along Gil Puyat Avenue.
