LJM a treasure as a friend

The Inquirer dedicated the entire front page of its Dec. 26 issue to its editor in chief Letty Jimenez Magsanoc who passed away on Christmas Eve.

It was an honor and privilege to have worked with Letty in the Inquirer. More importantly, she was a treasure as a friend; she treated me and my loved ones as family. We will miss her.

I recall the privilege I had of just dropping by her place at Valle Verde in Pasig City and she would receive me. We were also neighbors in Kapitolyo, Pasig, before her family moved to Valle Verde. But the Jimenez family kept their place and they would be there for traditional family gatherings, where I met her father, her sister Inday and friends like Fr. Jerry Orbos.
