Who can find a lost cause?
China is getting to be suicidal in its actuations in relation to the South China Sea row. It appears that its leaders are about ready to go to war against the whole world. China is now sending a message loud and clear that there is no restraint to its “ambitions” even at the cost of violating international laws and in defiance of reason and peaceful means and, worse, regardless of the thousands (or millions) of lives that may be lost in the event war erupts as a consequence of its stubborn will.
If China’s “kings” would be allowed to continue behaving in the disputed islands and seas as if they are already part of their country’s territorial domain, what then can stop China from further “ruling the world” in the future? Why is China acting like it owns the heavens and the earth when the United Nations as a universal body has yet to adjudicate cases filed against China’s territorial and maritime claims by other claimant countries? Every argument China makes is a mere alibi or an argument of the devil.
Babel was a tower ambitiously erected for the destruction of its builders.
The ball is in China’s hands. Do what’s right. Stop cowing the world. Prevent justice’s fury. Consider logic. Regret ahead. Be human. Let’s be friends. Life is precious. Therefore: Prevent lives from going to waste.
Peace is paramount.
