Naia today, rest of country later?

/ 04:27 AM July 21, 2011

I am a regular traveler to foreign countries and I have become accustomed to the usual inconveniences in our Naia terminals, not to mention the reel of bad memories I have gathered from them through the years. But during my recent arrival from New York last June, I was very happy to finally see some improvements both in the quality of service and the infrastructure itself. The airport personnel were very professional and courteous. Both the departure and arrival processes were now smooth and almost hassle-free. Most of all, I felt safe in our own airport.

But there is more room for further improvements and refinements. Still, what I saw I’m taking as a good sign that something good is happening. And I do hope that the positive changes I am beginning to see in our airports will be seen as well in other government agencies and in the rest of the country.
