Eon clarifies link to PCSO project
THIS IS in reference to Antonio Montalvan II’s column titled “Margie’s Pajero.” (Inquirer, 7/18/11)
Montalvan wrote: “Now it appears that the whole fiasco was facilitated by a PR firm, Eon Stakeholder Relations, to the tune of P544,400, which Sen. Jinggoy Estrado uncovered. Juico’s ambivalent denials seem to suggest she was caught off guard. The PCSO had just denounced what their predecessors did. Now they practice what they had denounced. It is a case of ‘Tama na, sobra na, kami na naman.’ And that is President Aquino’s ‘matuwid na daan’ for you.”
I would like to clarify that what Eon conducted (from October to December of 2010) was a project for the PCSO to help them address the misconceptions about its Small Town Lottery product. We were contracted for a reputation management program, which consisted of the following services: stakeholder mapping, perception/media audit, message workshop, media training and issues monitoring.
The PCSO-Eon engagement ended in December 2010. Since then, Eon has not been connected to the PCSO or to any individual with the institution.
We would also like to clarify that Eon is not connected in any way to Dante Ang, a fact that he has also publicly shared with the media.
