The Pasig City Library is unique because of its Science Discovery Centrum, a mini museum for interactive learning, and a multipurpose hall, also known as the audiovisual room (AVR).

The AVR, which is on the 4th floor of the library, is used not only for seminars and conferences, but also for social functions, like birthday parties and weddings.

“We offer the cheapest rates. It’s only P1,000 for the whole day on ordinary days. Half day is P500. That includes chairs, tables, sound system, everything,” said Theresita Osorio, Pasig City Library head.

Because of the positive feedback, more people are using the space on a first-come, first-served basis. Anyone can just call or walk into the library for reservations and send a letter to the mayor asking permission to use the AVR. Mari Arambulo et al.
