Vote vs Congress

I agree with lawyer Romulo Macalintal: Congress should be abolished. It is only a waste of money and time (“Election lawyer: Abolish Congress,” Opinion, 1/24/14).

I also agree with Macalintal that local executives, together with the president, should decide on policy issues and on what projects to undertake. The savings we can have with Congress’ abolition can be spent in more productive undertakings.
