A tribute to an artist

/ 09:23 PM March 23, 2011

I READ in the Inquirer’s Entertainment section about Wilfrido Ma. Guerrero who is the director of the UP Mobile Theater. (“When Freddie met Tetchie,” Inquirer, 3/5/11)
I remember Mr. Guerrero from a play, titled “Basketball Fans and Wanted: A Chaperon,” that was performed at the grandstand of Oriental Mindoro High School. I enjoyed watching the drama as it was very interesting and amusing. I was in third year high school then, in 1966. I remember particularly one of the play’s actors—Bing Licuanan.
Mr. Guerrero is my favorite writer in prose and poetry. This letter is a tribute to Wilfrido Ma. Guerrero. I would like to suggest that it be performed again at the San Fernando Sports Complex.
