Dolphy deserves more than just National Artist Award

/ 12:01 AM July 17, 2012

I watched news reports, documentaries and stories about Dolphy for five days, and I have come to the conclusion that he is beyond the National Artist Award category. He should be nominated for the Nobel Prize or the Magsaysay Award. He helped open our society to accepting homosexuality. Dolphy the comedian was there in our lives in times of good and bad for more than six decades. He truly was a great man.

Personally, I marvel at his energy to entertain and yet remain a good man—very kind and God-fearing.

Dolphy, goodbye and thank you so much for being a Pinoy.
