How skilled boxer was ‘killed’ in Vegas

08:59 PM June 21, 2012

What really happened on the evening of June 10, 2012 in Las Vegas was a welterweight title fight that was just too close to call. With multi-title holder Manny Pacquiao’s caliber as a super-skilled boxer, it wasn’t surprising that not a few people, particularly the two judges at ringside and this letter-sender, saw it as a lost cause for Pacquiao—even as the fight should have been decided in his favor or a draw at the least.

I mean, the guy’s boxing prowess is so great that every time he climbs up the ring, much is always expected of him. And that “much” didn’t come at any point during those 12 rounds of action. Simply put, Pacquiao was a victim of his own reputation.

A skilled boxer was “killed” in Vegas! That’s what happened in Vegas on the night of June 10.
