Thank you for calling a spade a spade

/ 10:52 PM May 04, 2012

Hats off to the Inquirer for giving the most accurate newspaper reports. In Christian Esguerra’s report titled “No stopping Migz Zubiri” (Inquirer, 4/10/12), Migz Zubiri was accurately addressed as a former representative and not as a former senator.

Kudos to Esguerra and the Inquirer for respecting the Senate Electoral Tribunal’s decision to annul the proclamation of Zubiri as a senator because his proclamation was proven to be based on spurious election results.

Zubiri, who usurped four years of a six-year Senate term not meant for him, should not be allowed to continue to use the title senator. The title belongs to those genuinely voted by the people to represent them. Thank you Inquirer for calling a spade a spade.
