GSIS’ cash gifts, what about SSS’?

As a government pensioner, I would like to express my thanks to the president and general manager of the Government Service Insurance System, Robert Vergara, and to those who in one way or the other had a hand in the decision to give pensioners cash gifts.

Indeed, this is the first time in five years that this benefit was granted. Although I haven’t received mine, I got this information from other pensioners and from news reports. May Vergara’s tribe increase.

I now challenge the Social Security System management to follow suit, and if this is not possible, to increase the pension instead, so that SSS pensioners will have good reasons to look forward to for the rest of 2012.
