Should Bamban Mayor Guo Go?

/ 04:05 AM June 11, 2024

Bamban Mayor Alice Guo has been the talk of the country for the past few weeks. The nation was stirred when news broke about her questionable identity and the secrets now slowly coming to light, amid ongoing tensions between the Philippines and China over territorial disputes. Should we allow her to stay in our country?

During the Senate hearing, Guo’s identity gradually became clearer, allowing us to connect the dots that have long been a mystery. The hearing underscores our seriousness about Chinese movements within our borders.

However, it is disheartening to know that some Filipinos are blinded by the lure of wealth, potentially allowing illegal aliens to enter our country for financial gain. Is this how they serve our country? Or are they hypocrites, demanding good deeds from others while acting like wolves in sheep’s clothing? This behavior threatens our sovereignty.

On the other hand, uncovering Guo’s mysterious identity could expose some of the Chinese underground propaganda. If justice is to be served, I hope it will be done according to the law, whether it implicates Guo or not.
