A message for the VP

04:05 AM December 13, 2019

DEAR Vice President Leni Robredo,
The President has judged you negatively not because your ideas are funny, but because you do not meet his expectations. If your approach and his approach do not match, no matter what great things you do and achieve, he and his supporters will see you as incompetent.

However, instead of answering to him, you may answer to the Filipino people or to God. Also, instead of meeting his expectations, you may perform according to legal requirements, professional standards and international practices, which I think you have been doing.

Although the President, as your boss, may evaluate you poorly as expected because you will not always do what he wants, the Filipino people, professional organizations and the international community may give you favorable performance appraisals based on their own criteria.

Many people think that you are already successful. I just wish that you keep up with your brilliance and excellent job. We are proud of you.
JORI GERVASIO R. BENZON,
