Urgent help needed for Cagayan Valley

Please take a look at the devastation wrought by flooding in Cagayan Valley. While local government units are extending a helping hand to the flood victims, the assistance is still not sufficient, perhaps due to limited resources and inadequate capacities.

The government should send out helicopters to save stranded or isolated people who have been left homeless, as well as transportation to move food, medical and other necessary supplies to flood-stricken communities.

As the water continues to rise, Magat Dam in Ramon, Isabela, also released water on Dec. 6 at 7 a.m., adding more to the anxiety of flood victims as they struggle for their lives.

Cagayan Valley is on its knees, and it needs our help right now.
