High price to pay for today’s politics

Fine. Let’s find fault in past and present presidents and do away with ethics and codes of conduct.

In the meantime, expansionists are annexing our territories, and plunderers, senators and ex-presidents, plus drug lords, are being exonerated at a rate faster than they can conceive of new crimes to commit.

By the time we look back on our history, mea culpa’s accusing finger will mirror the impunity and stupidity of whatever agenda we purported to advocate, or willfully chose to turn a blind eye to.

To choose this path is to choose death for this nation, which could have been but will never be great due to our self-righteousness and avarice.
