Republic of the Philippines vs Aguirre?

By all means, let Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguirre be charged in court for presenting spurious evidence in an attempt to link some lawmakers to a purported “rebellion.” Has he become a liability to an administration bent on eradicating corruption?

We are wont to hearing stories about politicians dipping deep into the public purse, but surely manipulating the truth is a far more malicious, sinister and arrogant form of corruption.

Decorum and the moral imperative demand nothing less than eating humble pie before the public. Such an act would be a much-needed example for emulation by the next generation of public servants. But has even this become an impossible dream in the country of Jose Rizal?
