As I was browsing INQUIRER.net, this letter about the University of the Philippines (UP) caught my attention. (“UP closed to brightest of poor,” Philippine Daily Inquirer, 6/20/08)
I am a UP alumna who is now blessed with a comfortable life here in the United States. The plight of the student who canceled his registration because his family could not afford to pay UP’s tuition is breaking my heart.
I wonder if there is a way for me and my family to sponsor the tuition fee of that student so that he can continue with his UP education. I want him to be in UP. Please let me know through my email address at the earliest time possible.
