The big picture from the First Quarter 2024 Social Weather Stations (SWS) reports on poverty and hunger is that both are struggling to recover to the pre-pandemic levels of 2019. For reference, the 2019 quarterly averages were 45 percent self-rated poor families and 9.3 percent hungry families.
