Keep abusers out of office, Pinays told

12:00 AM March 08, 2016

PRESIDENTIAL candidate Rodrigo Duterte admits arrogantly to his blatant disrespect for women—as creatures to be used (abused?), not as men’s coequal partners in life. Furthermore, he disregards the right of a citizen to a court trial; he would rather resort to extrajudicial execution for suspected criminals. In a true democracy, everyone is considered innocent until proven guilty. Even criminals have human rights.

We, women, composing 50 percent of the voters have the power to keep him (and Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.) out of office. Let’s do it! Nasa kamay natin ang ating kinabukasan bilang mamamayan ng Pilipinas (As Filipino citizens, our future is in our hands).
