Some corrections in High Blood piece

As a younger sister of Vicente Cruz to whom my eldest sister, Elena C. Cutiongco, paid tribute through her High Blood article, “A loyal Filipino citizen?” (Opinion, 10/1/15), I wish to correct these errors in the article:  (1) The publisher of Atin Ito, the Filipino newspaper in Toronto, is Eddie Lee (not Lim); (2) The actual reason why Vic applied for Canadian citizenship rather late was his wish to have dual Filipino citizenship, which was not possible then.

However, as an immigrant, Vic received free full medical treatment under the Ontario Health Insurance Plan (our universal health plan system).
