Duterte’s case calls to mind ‘reluctant’ Cory

As Ramon Tulfo time and again says in his column, if and when Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte decides to run for the position in 2016, he might clinch the presidency hands down.

With his known track record as a public servant, his no-nonsense policy and his incorruptibility, he has the leadership qualities that Filipinos are looking for in their president.

Mayor Duterte reminds us Filipinos of the late President Cory Aquino, a “reluctant” candidate who enjoyed popular support.
