Wire thieves undermining Mayor Binay’s leadership?

MAKATI MAYOR Jejomar Erwin Binay Jr. should pay close attention to the frequent and rampant stealing of electric wires on both sides of Gil Puyat Avenue for quite some time now. Because of this, some portions of the avenue, stretching from Mayapis Street all the way to Edsa, are always engulfed in total darkness to the detriment of pedestrians and motorists alike.

The notorious bolt cutters behind these thefts should be apprehended and punished at all costs.

Is politics behind all this? Is this meant to sabotage the mayor’s good intention to illuminate the central business district of Makati?

With the forthcoming World Economic Forum in May and Makati’s Shangri-La Hotel as the venue, the city should spruce up and showcase the best it has to offer to visiting foreign dignitaries and guests.
