Release coco levy funds

/ 09:25 PM November 17, 2013

First of all, I am one with Coco-Farm-Quezon led by Joseph Geronimo in asking President Aquino “to make a public accounting of the coco levy funds.”

Likewise, I fully support the Quezon coco farmers’ request for the release of the levy funds “in the spirit of the coming Christmas season to ease the financial suffering,” particularly of the poor coconut farmers.

Finally, I strongly suggest that a portion of the fund be used for the control of the scale insect (cocolisap) infestation which has ravaged the coco plantations of Laguna, Batangas, Quezon and Cavite provinces.
