Man of vision needed for Manila

/ 11:19 PM October 03, 2012

Whoever he will be, the next mayor of Manila should be a man of vision—someone with a political will, someone who can transform the physical appearance of the city from the ugliness, chaos, dirt and decay that it is today, someone who can regain the lost glory of Manila of the 1960s and 1970s, which was a city that was the envy of other Southeast Asian cities in the region.

So come 2013, Manila voters should choose or pick someone with a good track record of public service and performance.  A renaissance mayor who could restore and rehabilitate Manila and elevate it to a city on a par with other world-class Asian cities.
