Migz: party-less and independent since 2010

Last Jan. 2’s issue of the Inquirer carried an article regarding the Liberal Party’s coalition with Vice President Jejomar Binay’s multi-party coalition. I was mentioned in the article as a member of “Lakas-Kampi” and a member of the opposition.

To set the record straight, I ceased to be a member of Lakas-CMD in 2010 due to differences on local party concerns and issues, and since then I have maintained my independent status. All my endeavors and statements in the past, both in and out of the Senate, would clearly show that my loyalty has been to the Filipino people and not just to any political party.
