Sara not interested? Let’s see

Many were disturbed by President Duterte’s statement that the presidency is not for women.

But others were more discerning and saw this as an indication that Sara Duterte is certainly gunning for the presidency in 2022. They remember that in 2016, Mr. Duterte presented himself as a disinterested candidate for the presidency, although those in the know were aware that he had been going around the country in preparation for his presidential run. He did not file his certificate of candidacy and had somebody file the required certificate. He replaced his proxy just before the deadline and officially joined the race. Many voters were captivated by this show of disinterest in the presidency and cast their votes for Mr. Duterte.

Adding fuel to the fire are the statements of Sara that she is not interested in the presidency and is asking the survey groups to exclude her from their survey projects.
