Angel Locsin: Extending help without camera or fanfare

04:00 AM November 08, 2019

Our political leaders should emulate actress Angel Locsin for doing charity work for Filipinos.

On Nov. 1, a day after a magnitude 6.5 earthquake struck Tulunan, North Cotabato, she was seen in Davao City buying relief goods for the victims of the earthquake. This was not the first time that Locsin had shared her blessings. Before, she also distributed food and school supplies to those affected by the Marawi siege.

In 2013, Locsin donated her 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle to ABS-CBN Foundation Inc. for the benefit of the survivors of Supertyphoon “Yolanda.” In September this year, instead of attending a TV station’s prestigious event, she donated a sum of money to an organization that aims to protect disadvantaged and at-risk children.

It is admirable that Locsin does what she does without any camera or fanfare.
