Build, build, build nightmare

05:01 AM September 04, 2019

Your Aug. 30 editorial said it all: PUBLIC OUTRAGE, with the horrendous traffic that is consuming the Philippines.

I am presently staying on the 31st floor of the Citadines in Salcedo Village, with a view of the skyline of Makati. I have noticed more buildings going up with as many floors as ours.

With no building codes in this country, it is pure insanity for the developers to build, build, build — with no roads/infrastructure to support the additional cars and people who are working and living in these areas.

Everyone in Makati falls in line for their transportation during rush hour. It is such a dispiriting scene, and one wonders how developers were allowed to execute their building frenzy.

Pasay Road is a total muddle, with new high-rises going up that will absolutely compound the nightmare.
