‘Heartless, unchristian’ Congress
If the bill lowering the minimum age of criminal responsibility passes, Congress would indeed, in the words of Bishop Pablo Virgilio David, turn into the “most naive, heartless and unchristian Congress we ever had.” Just a small point — it already is.
Rewinding a bit to 2017 — remember when they passed a P1,000 budget for the Commission on Human Rights? From this, we could already see Congress’ barbaric tendencies, even if the budget was eventually revised.
The lawmakers’ unending support of this administration and thirst for power make them blind to morality, never mind the deadly war on drugs and all the absurd whatnot.
