Desperate moves to silence critics
In a clear display of desperation to silence his boldest critic, President Duterte now wants Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV back in jail for a crime which the senator has been legally forgiven for through amnesty.
I had suspected that, one way or the other, Mr. Duterte would find a way to silence Senator Trillanes’ fierce criticisms of his dictatorial and bullish style of leadership.
Mr. Duterte is a bully only because he’s surrounded by a protective shield of yes-men and obedient subordinates. But Senator Trillanes is not intimidated by him.

Wouldn’t it have been nice if Mr. Duterte instead focused on rehabilitating drug addicts and creating more opportunities for the jobless and the needy?
As it is, the Philippines, particularly Metro Manila, has become even more chaotic than ever!
