MRT’s defective escalators

/ 05:10 AM June 18, 2018

The Metro Rail Transit should immediately address the state of disrepair of most of its escalators along Edsa. For several months now, these escalators have been of no use  to the public. Commuters, especially senior citizens, have a hard time reaching the top of the steep staircase.  The most exasperating example is the escalator in the Gil Puyat (Buendia) station, which hosts a large volume of passengers.

Thank God MRT glitches are now quite rare, if not few and far between. But the defective escalators are another story. Let’s give our commuters a bit of convenience by repairing these escalators as soon as possible.
