Faith in gov’t service restored

05:03 AM June 06, 2018

I am writing about my recent experience at the Philippine Heart Center that restored my faith in government health services.

I was admitted on May 22 as a social service patient due to chest pains.

I was immediately attended to at the emergency room and taken care of by at least four physicians. They recommended that I undergo angiogram with a big possibility of angioplasty.

In 30 minutes, I was already inside the procedure room, with four doctors attending to my needs. The procedure was successful and it was able to open a block in my heart.

This saved my life. After three days, they did the same procedure to open two more partial blocks.

I was taken care of very efficiently, considering that I was a service patient. The doctors, nurses, social workers and everyone involved in my case were very professional and efficient.

I’m now back home, and I am very grateful to the Philippine Heart Center and its staff for this new lease on life.
