Measles immunization

/ 05:16 AM April 13, 2018

We have been so focused on the dengue vaccine controversy and parents are now afraid to have their children be given any form of vaccination after the scare brought about by Dengvaxia.

With the start of the summer season, I am urging parents to have their children vaccinated for measles, which I think has more complications especially with bronchopneumonia, and is the cause of death among most patients. In case of an epidemic, those who were previously given vaccine for measles should receive a booster dose. The vaccine is very safe and is free in rural health centers.
