Science, progress and atheism
Quite a concise account of the life of Stephen Hawking in Inquirer’s editorial, “The master of black holes”(3/16/18).
But the editorial omitted one glaring fact: The accomplished scientist was an atheist. How else could he have explained the universe as he had, his mind uncluttered by the senseless myths of religion and their respective gods (25,000 organized religions in the world — and counting — each claiming theirs is the one and only true God).
Indeed, the advances in medicine and technology that has benefited humankind is the result of minds of 97 percent of scientists around the world who doubt the existence of God, any god.
What has the Philippines, Mexico and South American countries have in common?
Why do you think these countries are mired in poverty and corruption, while the “godless” countries in Europe have progressed?
