‘Just and right’

This is regarding the article “Gov’t seeks terrorist tag for 600” (3/9/18), by Krixia Subingsubing. I support the government’s petition in seeking the Department of Justice to declare the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) and its armed wing, the New People’s Army (NPA), as “terrorist organizations,” and at least 600 individuals as “terrorists.”

I believe that calling and tagging them as terrorists are right and just because they have caused death and misery especially among the poor in the countryside.

I remember the day when the CPP-NPA killed my grandfather and 39 others including children in the “Digos massacre” in Digos, Davao del Sur. For me, they should not only be called terrorists but also as “demons.” Tagging them terrorist should not be enough.

I hope the DOJ will support the government’s action and declare the CPP-NPA and other people involved as “terrorists” as soon as possible.
