Bayan’s Reyes ‘a burden to the country’

07:01 AM July 10, 2017

President Duterte’s first year has been an exciting year. In the span of one year, many events tested the competence of the President. Mixed emotions, thoughts and opinions have also flowed during this period. Some people commended his performance and some were unsatisfied, like Bayan secretary general Renato Reyes.

I remember this man during my college days. During my stay in my alma mater in Mendiola we were always distracted by their rallies. I always heard their loud voices over megaphones near my school which disrupted our studies; classes were suspended because of their nonsense protests. To be fair enough, let us “praise” Reyes’ hard work of making those placards and props and organizing his group with paid members who are clueless about their objective of rallying in the streets. They are causing trouble and inconvenience for many people and we have had enough of Bayan’s presence and battle cry. People like Reyes are a burden to the country; their ideology is one of the reasons why our country is not rapidly developing compared to other countries. It is very frustrating.

Reyes is too perfect; none of our presidents are good enough for him. It seems that all this man has done his entire adult life is to complain and criticize and disrupt the common Filipino’s way of life. He should assess his actions if he has done anything at all to bring concrete change and improve the quality of life of the Filipino people.
