Duterte should work for the causes people voted him

It was a masterstroke by the Marcos family, and with the help of Malacañang. With nary a doubt.

And the “devil-may-care” defiance of forcing through the burial of Ferdinand E. Marcos in the Libingan ng mga Bayani in spite of the matter of pendente lite in the Supreme Court was buttressed in the expected support of nine justices, namely, Diosdado M. Peralta, Presbitero J. Velasco Jr., Teresita Leonardo-De Castro, Arturo D. Brion, Lucas P. Bersamin, Mariano C. del Castillo, Jose P. Perez, Jose C. Mendoza, and Estela M. Perlas-Bernabe.

Du30 was overwhelmingly (actually only 38.6 percent of total votes cast) elected on the main issues of the illegal drug menace and corruption in government.

He was not voted to pursue a foreign policy to alienate the Philippines from the United States and to ally with China and Russia.

Neither was he voted to work for the burial of Marcos in the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

The matter of an independent foreign policy for the Philippines was a knee-jerk reaction for his being called to task on the issue of human rights by the United States, United Nations and the European Union in the course of his exterminating the illegal drug menace in the country.

As head of government and president of the country, he should lead his constituents in statesman-like manner in pursuing his election promises for which he was voted.

Otherwise, there would be betrayal and deception.

Mr. President, quo vadis (whither thou goest)? Where are you taking the Filipino people?

It is evident that Du30 locuta est, causa finisa est (Du30 has spoken, the case is finished).
