Cowards attacking defenseless civilians

01:19 AM September 06, 2016

WE STRONGLY condemn the Sept. 2 bombing that killed 14 innocent people and injured 67 others in Davao City. We still do not know who were behind that atrocity and what their motive was, but they should be punished as soon as they are identified. The cowards treacherously attacked and killed unarmed civilians, including a pregnant woman and a child, who had no real chance to put up a defense. And they definitely violated the right of people to live in a peaceful environment.

Because of what happened in Davao City, let us stay vigilant and alert. Let us help the authorities. Let’s take responsibility for our own safety. Let us unite against any criminal or terroristic act. In this critical time, let us support each other. We need to be strong to fight evil.

Let us pray for Davao City, especially for the victims and their families, and for the fast recovery of those who were wounded. For the Davaoeños, the Filipino nation is here for you.
