The present leadership should not be ungrateful to senior citizens. These citizens had offered a lot to our country and sacrificed for its development. Has it forgotten the time honored Filipino virtues of utang na loob and paggalang sa matatanda?
Reimposing the VAT (value-added tax) on senior citizens’ purchases shows how ungrateful the present administration is to them. Under existing laws such purchases are VAT exempt. Why, of all options, pick on senior citizens? Is this not an act of ungratefulness?
