Another ‘title’ for Pacquiao?

From the House of Representatives to the Senate. It seems like the old adage, “Never trust a politician” can now be said of “The Great Philippine Hope,” Manny Pacquiao. His chief mantra during the election was “I’ll work full time for the people and retire from boxing.”  Well, guess what? He seems just about decided to go back into boxing again. Or has he ever left it already?

If he had been honest, Francis Tolentino, an experienced and capable leader, would probably have won a Senate seat. Instead, we’re now left with a promise that’s turning into empty and a prime candidate for the title “Liar of the Year.”

I’m not trying to demean Sen. Manny Pacquiao, but during his campaign for the Senate, I clearly heard him promise that if he won the senatorial election, he would leave his highly successful boxing career and serve “full time” as a senator.

Please, Manny, stick to your promise. Don’t let it be said that you deceived your countrymen.
