People are so quick to write letters of complaint but so slow to write letters of praise, such that I feel it is only fitting to commend the persons responsible for keeping the middle island divider along Edsa—from the Boni Serrano bus stop to Main Avenue to Cubao through Quezon Avenue—green with plants and shrubs. I especially like the multicolored flowers along the Edsa island fronting the building of Public Safety Savings and Loan Association and Main Avenue. The underpass plants are also commendable. It is a delight to pass by this stretch of green island divider every day.
It would also be nice to enjoy the green trees along the fence fronting the Armed Forces of the Philippines camp between gates 2 and 4. I can appreciate the sidewalk improvements being undertaken—and the beautiful art murals! Congratulations!—and I hope that the replacement of the missing fallen trees destroyed in the last typhoon be continued to keep the AFP camp side delightfully green.
I shall continue to enjoy my ride along Edsa, taking in the “green” divider islands from Boni Serrano to Quezon Avenue, and I wish to take this opportunity to thank those who are responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of this green piece of landscape along Edsa.
