I cannot help but react to the Young Blood article of Enzo Miguel M. de Borja about Ferdinand Marcos’ martial law (“Never Again,” Opinion, 5/5/16). Coming from a 15-year-old guy, “Wow!” I am 75 years old; I was outside the walls of Camp Crame along Edsa with my wife during the 1986 Edsa Revolution at the time Col. Antonio Sotelo was supposed to bomb us, but instead landed his helicopter inside Camp Crame.
I witnessed those dark days and we are right: “Never Again” … but, unfortunately, many of the younger generations are not aware of the atrocities of the Marcos regime, so we are in danger of repeating history. Thank you for writing, Mr. Enzo de Borja. I hope other Filipinos of your age catch on.
