This is a reaction to the letter titled “Only way to end the Marcos tyranny” (Opinion, 3/14/16) of Francis Pangilinan, former senator and presidential assistant for food security and agricultural modernization.
As a victim of the Marcos dictatorial regime (I was detained for 10 long months at Camp Vicente Lim in Canlubang, Laguna, for having been an activist), I am also one of the more than 75,000 claimants for compensation with the Human Rights Victims’ Claims Board which is mandated to accept applications for compensation for human rights violation during martial law.
I firmly believe that the only way to stop vice presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. on his way to Malacañang is to give him a resounding and unanimous “no vote.”
