I agree fully with Ramon Tulfo: it is Manny Pacquiao’s right to freely express his opinion. (“Scared to speak one’s mind,” Metro, 2/18/16).
I think what he just wanted to say was that homosexuality is not productive because there cannot be a natural family—that is, if you look at the “biological evolution”—that can spring from same-sex unions.
In Germany we have same-sex marriage and I am not a “fan” of it. In Russia, there is a law banning the “propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations to minors.” In my opinion, the US Army handled the issue in a fair manner through its “Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy. You see, allowing propaganda to promote same-sex marriage or unions goes against logic as such an arrangement could lead to the extinction of the human race.
The Bible is correct when it says that marriage is between a man and a woman; there is no other way to create a natural biological family. That’s the reason there is a law enacted in Russia for the protection of children from information advocating a denial of traditional family values.
Couples should have the freedom to do their thing at home behind closed doors; the sleeping room is a private haven and what couples do there is no business of the state. But please, couples should not do their thing in public so as not to scare and confuse children.
A healthy family is composed of a man and a woman and, if their union is fruitful, at least one child; or if it is not as fruitful, an adopted child. It was so in the past, as it still is until now, and so will it be forever. This is the right way, regardless of whether you are a Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox Christian, Muslim, Jew, Buddhist, Hindu or atheist.
