Majority of Filipino voters can’t be ‘vox Dei’

12:04 AM January 30, 2016

It is a given that majority of Filipino voters cannot be the “voice of God” for they can be bought, threatened and swayed by show biz or celebrity glitz as shown in the case of Manny Pacquiao and many other “stars” turned politicians. Pacquiao, in spite of his dismal record as Congress’ No. 1 absentee, appears to be a sure winner in the 2016 Senate race.

So, to let the electorate, instead of the Supreme Court, decide on Grace Poe’s qualification to become president is to disrespect our Constitution and the Supreme Court. Ditto if the Supreme Court would let the electorate decide in its stead. God save the Philippines!
