Keeping the momentum from a good year to the next

FOR THE Philippines, 2015 was a good year—tourism- and image-wise.

International exposures during such events as the papal visit, the Pacquiao-Mayweather fight, “Asia’s Got Talent,” Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit and in the recently concluded Miss Universe pageant generated a lot of goodwill and positive news for our country worldwide.

Negative news also hogged the limelight, but the good news prevailed and overshadowed the bad ones.

So to keep the momentum going into 2016, we must mark the year with a big bang by choosing and electing wisely a progressive, reformist and incorruptible president in the May presidential election.

FEATURED STORIES

A credible election getting the stamp of affirmation from international observers and the foreign press, and a leader acceptable to our people, will add to that momentum.
